music video monday ~ 18

This week, I'm going to share some videos I've produced or directed. This video, which we shot and released 16 years ago, was one of the first things I produced with a team outside of what I was able to make in college. The band, Calendar for Preston, hails from Columbus, Ohio.
My memories of this project are fond. A long shoot over the course of a weekend with a group of creative types looking to create and have fun doing it. We tried to get fancy with some shots and sets, but we only had the tiniest of budgets and a few measly know-hows. By the time it was edited and released, I realized that I learned a lot from doing the thing. More than I could learn from talking about the thing or reading about the thing.

indoor animal is curated by a human: Tim Papciak. On Mondays, he shares one link to one music video to help spark creativity in himself and in other creative types. On Thursdays, he recommends a book, movie, show, art piece, or link to some dusty corner of the internet that he believes either 1.) adds to the human experience, or 2.) serves as a coping mechanism in the year 2025. Note: this is not, and never will be, self-help content.
