music video monday ~ 8

Another not-quite-a-music-video video. I'm jealous of this film's title sequence. It serves its purpose of showing the credited actors and crew, but it is so much more.
The choreography is playful. The vision of the future it showcases – where families compete with other families in dance competitions from their own living rooms – prescient. The music, catchy and fun.
What sets it apart is that it also ends with a nugget of plot: Yang keeps dancing after the family is eliminated and we immediately know something isn't quite right with Yang. That quick, we're already into the world, the characters, the story.
The whole film After Yang by Kogonada is worth a watch, but the title sequence stands on its own, which is why I'm sharing it today. Enjoy!

indoor animal is curated by a human: Tim Papciak. On Mondays, he shares one link to one music video to help spark creativity in himself and in other creative types. On Thursdays, he recommends a book, movie, show, art piece, or link to some dusty corner of the internet that he believes either 1.) adds to the human experience, or 2.) serves as a coping mechanism in the year 2025. Note: this is not, and never will be, self-help content.
