Don't ask me who I am / Don't ask me where I was

Fled the confines of Pittsburgh – a la the beginning of the "Nothing to Declare" music video by MGMT – for somewhere more exotic: northern Maine. So that's the connection for this week: leaving Pittsburgh. While Inga Petry went from Pittsburgh to Paris. I went from this:

As a writer, I'm lucky to be able to travel so freely, which makes me think of the MGMT lyric in this song, "The world's my Fine de Claire."

The world's my Fine de Claire / The waters beckon me to dive / I can tell the pearl's in there

But traveling's also hard work. I missed sending out a newsletter last Thursday, because I was en route to Maine. Back to regularly scheduled programming this Thursday. Scout's honor. Now go enjoy the song and video, while I go look for a half-dozen Fine de Claires.
