music video monday ~ 46
I once heard from the head chef of a highly rated restaurant that you should find out where your favorite head chefs eat. Their own restaurants were likely too expensive to eat at more than occasionally, but they had to eat somewhere and they probably didn't want to go broke eating out. If you wanted good food for less money, going to these places instead was the way to go.
Then, I read that instead of wearing what clothing designers put on their runway models, you could see what they wear, how they dress everyday. This was both more affordable and typically meant your style would be longer-lasting and wouldn't go out, or date you, with the current trend.
Playing that out, I started to think about what music and musicians the musicians I liked listened to. That's how I first discovered Oneohtrix Point Never (via Weyes Blood).

You may have heard of him, but you may not have. Maybe you at least heard his work: he scored the films Good Time and Uncut Gems. Hours of strange, ethereal, disjointed, but inventive and experimental music resulted. And I never looked back.
With the release of his latest album, Tranquilizer – which I'm enjoying and critics are into – I'll drop a video from him today. Let's experiment together!
Oneohtrix Point Never - "Cherry Blue" (Dir. Pol Taburet)
indoor animal is curated by a human: Tim Papciak. On Mondays, he shares one link to one music video to help spark creativity in himself and in other creative types. On Thursdays, he recommends a book, movie, show, art piece, or link to some dusty corner of the internet that he believes either 1.) adds to the human experience, or 2.) serves as a coping mechanism in the year 2025. Note: this is not, and never will be, self-help content.
