Traveled through New York State and Pennsylvania this week, doing some research for a project I'm working on. Though I could've looked these places up online, it felt important to immerse myself in the physical locations I had in mind while I was writing. There's something meaningful in experiencing a location first hand. I don't think there's any replacement for it.
