Welcome!
We've been waiting for you...
All creepiness aside, thanks for subscribing to indoor animal.
I aim to give anyone searching for something worthwhile to look at that makes their life either better, or more bearable – at least for a moment. As a human who struggles to find things to watch and read – and ways to laugh – I figured I'd offer this service as a way to avoid 1.) relying on the algorithm, and 2.) clicking through little blocks on streaming services for as long as a show takes to watch without selecting anything. (Which I've done too many times at this point in my life.)
Wait, aren't you just some guy?
Yeah. That's true. I'm just some human named Tim Papciak.

But...
I have worked in film and television, in many different roles, and have thought about what gets made, how it gets made, why it gets made, and what is worth watching wayyy more than most people. At one point in my life, I was a gatekeeper, which means I read scripts and film packages and novels and was given money by Hollywood execs and film financiers in exchange for my opinion. It was a strange time.
So, what do you do now?
Now, I write. I write things like this newsletter. And screenplays. And novels. And short stories. And essays. I try and write what I feel called to write, to create things with an engaged audience in mind. Often I write things for myself. But, I also like to share what I write with others. Over time, I plan to share some of my own creations with subscribers via the indoor animal newsletter.
Would it be weird if I emailed you?
It'd be weird. But, it'd be GOOD weird. I'm always interested in hearing from people, and hearing what other people are interested in. If something I say inspires you to create something, or to correct me, feel free to share it. If you find something that you truly love, or something that makes you laugh, please share it with me. I'd be thrilled. I'm a human and need other humans, too.
